NewSpec has been named as the sole Australian distributor of SenseAI Vision software which speeds up acquisition and reduces beam dose in microscopy imaging.
NewSpec supply advanced measurement and instrumentation technology to the Australasian research and industrial sectors. The SenseAI software will accompany an already established range of Electron Microscopes and accessories including Hitachi High Technologies (HHT) Electron Microscopes, Bruker detectors, EDS analysis tools and ion milling systems.
SenseAI, a spinout from the University of Liverpool in the UK, uses compressed sensing to generate electron microscopy images faster with minimal beam damage and up to 100x less data. Most importantly, there is no loss of integrity of the images.
The partnership has already delivered its first installation at the University of Queensland who are now able to perform 4D STEM experiments live on their Hitachi HF5000 TEM.
Graeme Jones, Managing Director at NewSpec says: “We were so excited when we first saw the SenseAI software in action. It integrates seamlessly with the majority of our solutions and we’re excited to be able to make our customers electron microscopes perform even faster. We look forward to rolling out this innovation to research and industrial facilities all across Australia.
Dan Somers, CEO at SenseAI Vision adds: “Our partnership with NewSpec reflects a shared ambition to unleash imaging workflows, making legacy set-ups faster and new microscopes even faster. We’re excited to collaborate with facilities across Australia to advance their research and productivity.”
