DEMO CENTRE

SenseAI is enabling The Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis (CMM) at University of Queensland to perform live 4D STEM experiments on their Hitachi HF5000. The software was installed in conjunction with SenseAI’s Australian distributor NewSpec

The centre was looking to overcome the industry wide challenges of speed and high dose, whilst generating the same high-res images and 4D STEM environments will play a significant role in the future of materials science analysis at CMM.

“Speed is the obvious benefit, but what really matters is that it enables experiments you simply couldn’t do before.

We were able to acquire one of the first ever atomic-resolution convergent beam 4D STEM datasets on the HF5000 at UQ, precisely because you can focus and correct the image in real time. Something previously impossible. That fundamentally changes the workflow—turning 4D STEM from a slow, trial-and-error process into something interactive, with real time feedback.”
