Dr Robert Swann
Dr Swann is an experienced chairman, entrepreneur, and business angel with deep expertise in technology ventures.
He is also currently Chairman of SLAMCORE Ltd, a board member of Undo Ltd and Living Optics Ltd, and Co-chair of Cambridge Angels.
Previously, Robert has held other pivotal leadership roles such as Co-founder and Chairman of Spectral Edge Ltd (acquired by Apple in 2019); Chairman of Cambridge CMOS Sensors (acquired by AMS in 2016), Audio Analytic Ltd (acquired by Meta in 2022), and Flusso Ltd (acquired by a global semiconductor company in 2022). He also served as Executive Chairman of Green Parrot Pictures Ltd (acquired by Google in 2011), and held board positions at Movidius Inc (acquired by Intel in 2016), Dexela (acquired by PerkinElmer in 2011), Im-Sense Ltd (acquired by Apple in 2010), the East of England Development Agency, and Cambridge Angels.
Robert graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge in Electrical and Information Sciences and earned his PhD in video processing from the Cambridge University Engineering Department. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2021.
